Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari approved a restructuring of the state oil company, Emmanuel Ibe Kachikwu, the minister of state for petroleum, told reporters on March 8.

He said the Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. (NNPC) will be comprised of upstream, downstream, gas power marketing, refinery groups and ventures divisions.

The move comes a week after Kachikwu said NNPC would be split into 30 independent companies.
