The board of 4Subsea appointed Peter Jenkins as CEO, the company said June 25. He replaces Henning Christensen in the role, and both were company co-founders.
Christensen had been CEO since 2008, the company added. He will stay at 4Subsea to manage business development for production risers, Joar Welde, chairman of the board and with Viking Venture, said.
For the last three years, Jenkins led the well intervention and drilling department at 4Subsea. Previously, he worked at DSND Subsea and Kongsberg SeaFlex.
Welde said that Jenkins will now oversee 4Subsea’s strategy of delivering solutions that lower opex and capex on subsea well systems and production riser systems.
Jenkins said that operators need to maintain production from existing assets. He added that combining software and monitoring solutions with specialist engineering services will present new opportunities for the Norway-based company.
