Cargo carrying unit provider OEG Offshore merged its U.S. business with Cameron Rental and Tank Inc. (CRT), an oilfield equipment provider in Louisiana, the company said Aug. 28.
The amount was not disclosed, but it was a multimillion-dollar merger, OEG said. The combined businesses will have several locations in the Gulf of Mexico region, and will have a wider range of equipment to meet customers’ needs.
CRT has served the Gulf Coast oilfield industry since 2000 and has operations in locations including Port Fourchon, Venice and Cameron, La.
OEG Houston recently relocated to a larger office in Houston, the company added.
The range of cargo carrying units includes baskets and containers certified to international standards, and certified cutting boxes and DNV/MPT portable chemical tanks for rental alongside pumps and operated vacuum services.
John Heiton, OEG Offshore’s CEO, said that Thomas McDaniel, president of CRT, and all other employees, will remain with the business.
OEG Offshore Ltd. is registered in Aberdeen, Scotland.
