ELA Container Offshore GmbH’s delivery of an offshore living quarter will provide added accommodation for the SeaMar Splendid as it performs subsea work in the North Sea.
The multipurpose offshore support vessel SeaMar Splendid can be used for diving support, survey and seismic support work.
“Our standard 20-ft [6-m] offshore living quarter turned out to be the perfect solution on the deck space they had onboard,” said Frank ter Haak, business development manager Netherlands at ELA Container Offshore GmbH. “We provided SeaMar with all the necessary documents and technical information so they could discuss with Class to get their approval, make the necessary preparations onboard and plan the mobilization well ahead.”
The result was that the project could be placed onboard immediately when SeaMar received the green light for the project.
“With ELA, we found a reliable and flexible partner that was able to provide the ideal container immediately and on time,” said Sybrand Spyksma, technical superintendent at SeaMar Services BV. “Quick delivery is always very important for us, as you know in the offshore industry sometimes you have to move fast, very fast.”
