Oil and Gas Development Co. Ltd. (OGDCL) has discovered hydrocarbon-bearing horizons in its exploratory well Jand # 01. This is the 102nd discovery achieved by OGDCL. This well is located in the Attock district of the Punjab province of Pakistan in Dakhni M.L. with OGDCL (100%) as operator.
This structure was delineated, drilled and tested using OGDCL's in-house expertise. The well was drilled to the depth of 6,050 m (19,850 ft) targeting the Sakessar, Chorgali, Nammal, Patala and Lockhart formations.
The hydrocarbons have been found at Jand # 01. The Sakessar and Chorgali formations have been tested jointly delivering 300 Mcm/d (10.60 MMcf/d) of gas and 21 bbl/d of condensate through 32/64-in. choke at wellhead flowing pressure of 1,780 psi.
