The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) has revealed the 17 technologies that will receive a Spotlight on New Technology Award this year.

As announced March 6 in news release, the spotlight winners and their products are:

  • Baker Hughes, MultiNode, all-electric intelligent well system;
  • Cameron International, Mark IV High-Availability (HA) BOP control system;
  • FMC Technologies, Annulus Monitoring System;
  • Halliburton Energy Services, RezConnect well testing system;
  • Oceaneering International, Deepwater Pile Dredge;
  • Oceaneering International, Magna Subsea Inspection System;
  • OneSubsea, Multiphase Compressor;
  • SBM Offshore, ARCA Chain Connector;
  • Schlumberger, GeoSphere reservoir mapping-while-drilling service;
  • Schlumberger, Quanta Geo photorealistic reservoir geology service;
  • Tracerco,Tracerco Discovery;
  • Versabar, Inc., VersaCutter;
  • Weatherford, Red Eye Subsea Water-Cut Meter;
  • Weatherford, Total Vibration Monitor with Angular Rate Gyro and
  • Welltec, Welltec Annular Barrier.

New this year, the OTC has created the Spotlight on New Technology Small Business Award. The winners in this category are: Fishbones, producer of Dreamliner, and WiSub AS, producer of WiSub Maelstrom Pinless Subsea Wet-Mate Connector.

To win the award, technologies must be less than two years old, innovative and proven through full-scale application or successful prototype testing, have broad appeal for the industry and provide significant benefits beyond existing technologies. Small businesses were also required to have less than 300 employees.

The 2015 awards will be presented May 4 in the NRG Center Rotunda Lobby.
