With production stabilized at about 30,000 barrels per day, Petrobras said FPSO Cidade de Saquarema has come onstream in the Lula Field in the Santos Basin.
The FPSO vessel is connected to the 8-LL-81D-RJS production well.
The Lula production system is the 10th large definitive production system operating in the pre-salt layer, Petrobras said in a July 12 news release. The complete scope of the Lula Central project comprises 18 wells, including nine producers and nine injection wells.
FPSO Cidade de Saquarema is capable of processing 150,000 barrels of oil and compressing up to 6 million cubic meters of gas per day. The vessel is anchored at a water depth of 2,120 meters, the release said.
Petrobras anticipates bringing its next pre-salt system, located in the Lapa Field, online in third-quarter 2016 through installation of the FPSO Cidade de Caraguatatuba.
