BP Plc plans to drill Great Australian Bight, home to several endangered species, in about a year, Bloomberg said. Environmentalists say full emergency spill response plans aren’t yet disclosed. 

Saturn Minerals Inc. received permit, license to drill first Bannock Creek conventional light oil well. Well’s location was found during 2-D seismic program in Red River, Winnipeg and Deadwood formations.

The BOP has been brought to surface for inspection and repairs, which are expected to take from 10 and 14 days.

BP Plc expects to drill in the Great Australian Bight offshore southern Australia later than expected, Bloomberg said. Delivery of  Diamond Offshore Drilling/Hyundai Heavy Industries rig could be delayed.

Average gross production in Turkmenistan’s Cheleken contract area was about 88,700 bbl/d in the first quarter. This was a 23% increase over the corresponding 2014 level.

In January Eni signed a new concession agreement to operate in the Melehia Southwest Block, where exploration and other activities will begin later this year.

The gas was found at 1,307 m (4,288 ft) and well testing delivered a gas flow rate of 175 Mcm/dand 90 bbl/d of condensate with a 32/64-in. choke. 

Exploration well 34/3-5, about 5 km southeast of Knarr Field, is dry and will be plugged and abandoned. It is about 120 km west of Florø in northern North Sea.

The discovery was made while drilling well 1-BRSA-1293-AM (ANP nomenclature), which is informally known as Jusante do Anebá. Well drilling reached 2,040 m total depth.
