Rosneft Brasil and Petro Rio SA closed the transaction to acquire PetroRio's 55% interest in the Solimões project, the company said Oct. 13. The transaction totaled US$55 million.
Rosneft Brasil will have full control and ownership in the project, allowing it to continue the exploration program in frontier areas and joint work with Petrobras.
