Statoil has exercised options for previously awarded drilling service contracts for 17 fixed installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf by extending contracts with KCA Deutag, Odfjell Drilling and Archer, the company said in a news release.
The option period will last from Oct. 1, 2016, to Oct. 1 2018, with some changes to the scope awarded.
The total contract value for the next two-year period is estimated by Statoil at up to NOK 5 billion. The work includes drilling and well services, maintenance of drilling facilities, modifications and any optional work, the release said.
Options have been exercised for these suppliers and installations:
- KCA Deutag: Oseberg B, C, South, East and Gullfaks A, B and C
- Odfjell Drilling: Grane and Heidrun
- Archer: Statfjord A, B and C; Visund; Njord; Sleipner A as well as Snorre A and B.
