Multiclient geoscience data provider TGS appointed Sven Børre Larsen as its CFO, the company said May 27. The appointment’s effective date will be no later than Dec. 1.
He will replace Kristian Johansen in the role. Johansen became COO in December 2014, and he will serve as interim CFO until Larsen's effective date.
Larsen will be based in the Asker, Norway, office.
Most recently, he was CFO of Prosafe Management AS, a support vessel owner/operator.
Larsen also has extensive experience as a financial analyst in several industries including oil services, TGS said.
Larsen has undergraduate and master’s degrees from Norway’s University of Tromsø and the Bodø Graduate School of Business.
