The SM-1 well in the Sidi Moussa Block offshore Morocco has reached a total depth of 2,825 m (9,268 ft) and encountered oil during drilling operations, San Leon Energy said in a press release. Preparations are underway to perform cased hold testing.
Genel Energy is the operator of the Sidi Moussa Block with a 60% working interest. San Leon holds a 10% net working interest in the block. Serica has a 5% working interest.
