Deep Sea Supply of Norway has been awarded a 3-year contract for its AHTS (Anchor Handling Tug Supply) vessel Sea Badger for operations offshore Thailand. The vessel has already commenced operations, it said. The AHTS vessels Sea Tiger and Sea Bear, meanwhile, have been awarded 120 day firm contracts, with 60 day options, with an unnamed oil company for operations off Brazil. Both vessels have been operating in the North Sea spot market and will mobilize to Brazil. The vessels will start their contracts in Brazil on 1 March. The total value (net after local taxes) of the firm period of contracts is put at approximately US $19.3m.
