Aker Solutions is to supply subsea umbilicals for ExxonMobil’s deepwater Erha North phase 2 development offshore Nigeria. The development is an extension of the existing Erha subsea system and infrastructure located approximately 97 km offshore in water depths ranging between 1,000-1,200 m (3,281-3,937 ft). Aker’s scope of work includes the delivery of two dynamic and two static steel tube umbilicals, at a total length of 16.5 km. The umbilicals will be delivered in 2014. The umbilicals will be designed, engineered and manufactured at Aker’s facility in Mobile, Alabama in the United States, supported by project management and engineering by a local team in Lagos, Nigeria.
