Petrobras has signed an agreement for FMC Technologies to supply subsea manifolds for its pre-salt fields offshore Brazil, in a deal worth approximately US $650 million in revenue for the contractor if all the potential equipment is ordered.
The total scope of supply includes the delivery of up to 16 subsea manifolds, said FMC, with the initial order from this latest agreement to include 11 manifolds, tools and controls. The order is in addition to three subsea manifolds of identical design ordered by the Brazilian major earlier this year. The equipment will be engineered and manufactured in Brazil with delivery scheduled to begin in 2015.
