BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC (bpTT) has started its Trinidad onshore compression (TROC) project, the company said in a news release.
The project, which was sanctioned in July 2016, is one of seven major upstream projects BP plans to bring online this year.
Full startup of the fully-owned BP project will take place over the next few months. When fully onstream, the onshore compression facility will have the potential to deliver about 200 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, BP said in the release. The facility is expected to improve production capacity by increasing production from low-pressure wells in bpTT’s acreage in the Columbus Basin using an additional inlet compressor at the Point Fortin Atlantic LNG plant.
Atlantic LNG Co. of Trinidad and Tobago will serve as the operator.
