From Australia (RW): Emerson Process Management has been awarded a $67mn contract by Chevron Australia to provide control valves and valve actuators for the Greater Gorgon LNG project (29/19), offshore Western Australia.
Emerson is providing the majority of the more than 1,000 control and shutdown valves for the development.
Chevron has also purchased Emerson’s Roxar subsea wet gas meters to provide real-time, accurate measurement of gas flow rates and water production from the fields.
Also, Caley Ocean Systems is to supply Subsea 7 with a deepwater lowering system for use on the Chevron development. The system, to be installed on the derrick-barge Sapura 3000, will handle modules up to 950t in waters to 1,300m.
