Dril-Quip’s wholly-owned subsidiary Dril-Quip Asia Pacific Pte Ltd. has won a contract to supply drilling and production equipment and related services for the deepwater Malikai Tension Leg Platform project offshore Malaysia. The US contractor was awarded the contract in conjunction with its local partner UMW Petrodril (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. by operator Sabah Shell Petroleum Company Ltd. for the TLP project, which will sit in approximately 549 m (1,800 ft) of water. Dril-Quip will provide subsea wellheads, tensioner systems, risers, production trees, injection trees and tieback connectors. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2014.
