FMC Technologies won an order for an undisclosed amount from operator BP for the manufacture and supply of subsea equipment to support water injection on the Thunder Horse field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The oil field in the Mississippi Canyon area is located in approximately 1,920 m (6,300 ft) of water. FMC’s scope of supply includes two manifolds and associated controls equipment. In addition, the workscope includes several pipeline end terminations, flowline and well jumper kits and umbilical termination assemblies. Deliveries are scheduled to start in the first half of this year.
