A contract to manufacture and supply subsea equipment for BP’s Mad Dog Phase 2 field development has been awarded to FMC Technologies. The development is located near Green Canyon Block 825 in the US Gulf, 240 km south of New Orleans in about 1,550 m (5,100 ft) of water.
Under the initial contract, FMC will supply subsea trees, manifolds, and jumper equipment. Mad Dog Phase 2 is the first project awarded under FMC’s global agreement with BP to provide technologies and services for the operator’s worldwide subsea development projects.
