International Frontier Resources Corp. appointed Ignacio Quesada Morales, former CFO and board member of Mexico’s Pemex, to its board of directors, the company said July 7.
Currently, Quesada is a managing director with Alvarez & Marsal Mexico and has more than 20 years of experience in financial and strategic consulting, including key positions within Mexico's public sector. He has worked extensively in the energy and oil and gas sectors in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Spain and South Africa.
At Pemex, Quesada handled treasury, budgeting, accounting and risk management.
Previously, Quesada was chief of staff to the minister at the Secretaria de Hacienda y Credito Publico, Mexico's treasury office, and at the Secretaria de Desarrollo Social, the ministry of social development.
Quesada was also a partner at McKinsey & Co. consulting firm. He earned a degree from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, and a doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
Through its Mexican subsidiary, Petro Frontera SAPI de CV, and strategic joint ventures, International Frontier Resources Corp. helps develop petroleum and natural gas assets in Mexico.
