The FPSO Cidade de Itajaí has arrived on location in the pre-salt Santos Basin, where it will be integrated into the Baúna and Piracaba field production system.
The floating production unit arrived on 29 December at the field location. Chartered from OOG-TKP (a consortium formed by Odebrecht Óleo e Gás & Teekay Petrojarl), the vessel is being prepared for anchoring and is expected to start producing before the end of January.
The FPSO is capable of processing up to 80,000 b/d of light oil and compressing 2 MMcm/d of natural gas. The unit will be connected to six production and five injector wells, of which four are used for water and one for gas.
