The BD gas field in the Madura Strait offshore Indonesia has started production, CNOOC Ltd. said in a news release.
Located at a water depth of about 55 m, the field’s main production facilities include one unmanned wellhead platform, one FPSO unit and four production wells. Currently, the gas field has two wells in production, CNOOC said in the release.
The field’s gas and condensate sales production is about 7,200 barrels oil equivalent per day (boe/d). Peak production is estimated at about 25,500 boe/d in 2018.
Husky-CNOOC Madura Ltd. (HCML) is the operator of the production-sharing contract for the field, with Husky and CNOOC each holding a 40% interest. Samudra Energy holds the remaining interest.
