Deepwater rig player Pacific Drilling has sealed a two-year extension with Chevron for its Pacific Bora drillship to continue working offshore Nigeria.
The company said in its latest status update that the drillship, capable of drilling in waters of up to 3,048 m (10,000 ft) and already working for the US major off Nigeria, had received an extension at a dayrate of US $585,860. This compares to its current dayrate of $474,000.
The new extension kicks in as of 26 August.
