Polarcus has concluded a collaborative deal worth US $213m with Turkey’s state-owned energy company TPAO (Turkish Petroleum Corporation) for the sale of one of its latest generation seismic vessels. TPAO is set to take delivery of the 8- streamer 3D seismic vessel Polarcus Samur around the end of this month after the companies finalised an agreement for the sale and reflagging of the vessel. Polarcus will provide seismic data acquisition, data processing, crewing and management services over a 3-year period as part of the deal, negotiations about which were first revealed by the seismic player early in December.
