The board of directors of SeaBird Exploration Plc has appointed Hans Petter Klohs as its new CEO of the company on June 24.
Klohs has extensive senior executive management experience from Norwegian publicly listed entities in both oil service, and oil and gas. Previous senior positions include serving as CFO and later as CEO in GC Rieber Shipping ASA for over 10 years, serving as CEO in Arrow Seismic ASA and Armada Seismic ASA, and acting as CFO in Rocksource ASA. Klohs intends to resign from his position as board member of the company as a consequence of the appointment.
“The board of directors is extremely pleased that Hans Petter has agreed to take the CEO position of the company, and the board looks forward to working closely with Hans Petter in our forthcoming efforts to lead and grow SeaBird going forward,” Heidar Engebret, SeaBird’s chairman of the board, said.
