Shell is planning three new injection wells and a subsea manifold for its ultra-deepwater Great White unit, feeding into its producing Perdido spars in the Gulf of Mexico. The SW Cluster and Frio fields in Alaminos Canyon Blocks 856, 857-900 sit in a water depth of nearly 2,500 m (8,202 ft). The operator plans to install a manifold, jumpers, a subsea xmas tree and a flying lead for well GB006, to be drilled later this year. Well GB007 is to be drilled and tied back in 2018 and well GB008 in 2019.
