Petrobras has extended the charter contract for the pipelay vessel Skandi Vitória for two years from September 2013. The vessel is owned through a joint venture formed by DOF Subsea, a subsidiary of DOF ASA, together with Technip. Skandi Vitória is the first pipelay vessel built in Brazil, equipped with vertical and horizontal pipelay systems, a 250 mt crane and two ROVs. The vessel is capable of operating in water depths of up to 3,000 m (9,843 ft).
