An estimated 20 to 30% of the world’s wells are shut in with integrity issues, and many are operating with dispensation. Operators, unable to bring these wells back online or up to full production without a rig, have traditionally struggled to meet production quotas.
According to Brinker, the company's Platelet barrier technology - applied through the wellhead - eliminates the delay, costs, risks, and logistical issues associated with a rig workover. It can restore full production capacity in a matter of hours, compared to the 45-week period required by more traditional methods, by finding and fixing leaks from the wellhead down.
The technology provides a fully mobile and compact solution that can be carried in a briefcase and is available anywhere in the world.
