W&T Offshore, Inc. (NYSE: WTI) announced on July 20 the promotion of William Williford to vice president and general manager of Gulf of Mexico.
"William has proven himself to be of great value to W&T and we are looking forward to his continued contributions to our future success," W&T Offshore Chairman and CEO Tracy Krohn said.
Williford has been with W&T Offshore since 2006 and has served in various positions of increasing responsibility with the company, including reservoir engineer, exploration project manager, general manager Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, and most recently, GM of Gulf of Mexico Shelf and Deepwater.
He has over 20 years of oil and gas technical experience with large independents in the Gulf of Mexico and domestic onshore.
Prior to joining W&T, Williford held positions in reservoir, production, and operations at Kerr McGee and Oryx Energy. He received a B.S. in petroleum engineering from Mississippi State University.
