Fred. Olsen Energy ASA subsidiaries Dolphin Drilling Ltd. and Dolphin Drilling Brazil have finalised an approximate 1-year contract extension with Brazilian major Petrobras for the continued use of the semisubmersible drilling rig Borgny Dolphin.
The Norwegian rig owner confirmed that the extension will follow in direct continuation of the current contract with the same operator offshore Brazil, and provide ongoing employment for the unit until the end of September 2014.
The estimated contract value is US $90m, according to Fred.Olsen Energy.
