Electromagnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has clinched an award valued at approximately US $100 million for a 3D electromagnetic programme for an unnamed client.
The Norwegian contractor said only that the client was “one of the world’s largest oil companies” and that it was a repeat customer. EMGS added that the client had indicated that the contract would be formally finalised and signed during July.
The 3D EM data acquisition is expected to kick off in early September following the mobilisation of the Boa Galatea seabed logging vessel next month.
