Drilling and solutions provider Helmerich & Payne (H&P) is joining the Permian Strategic Partnership (PSP) to contribute to the coalition’s mission of improving the quality of life of Permian Basin residents, PSP announced Jan. 10.
Founded in 2019, the PSP is committed to responsibly developing resources in the Permian Basin by partnering with federal, state and local leaders to serve the local community.
H&P is joining as the twentieth member of the coalition after Kinetic and WaterBridge Resources, who joined in September.
“We are excited to partner with PSP and the coalition of Permian Basin energy companies who are working to make a difference in West Texas and southeastern New Mexico,” said John Lindsay, president and CEO of H&P. “H&P deeply values our ability to be involved in philanthropic efforts throughout the communities where we live, work and play, and this partnership demonstrates just that.”
The PSP has leveraged $975 million towards providing residents with education, safer roads, housing and healthcare. $125 million came from member company contributions, according to the press release.
“John Lindsay and the team at H&P bring extraordinary talent and passion for the Permian Basin to our organization,” said Tracee Bentley, president and CEO of the PSP. “They are joining the PSP at a time when we have seen transformational initiatives after four years of dedicated service to our community, and we still have so much to work on together. We look forward to continuing our momentum in 2023 and making lasting impacts across the Permian Basin."
Additional members of the PSP are Apache, BPX Energy, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Coterra Energy, Devon, Diamondback, Endeavor, EOG Resources, Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Occidental, Ovintiv, Permian Resources, Pioneer Natural Resources, Plains All American and SLB.
