Parsley Energy Inc. (NYSE: PE) appointed David Dell’Osso as executive vice president and COO, the E&P focused on the prolific Permian Basin said Sept. 26.
Dell’Osso joins Austin, Texas-based Parsley from Southwestern Energy Co. (NYSE: SWN), where for the last 13 years he served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including most recently as senior vice president and general manager of the Northeast Appalachia division.
At Parsley, he will succeed Matt Gallagher, who will remain president of the company until his previously announced appointment as president and CEO takes effect in January when founder and CEO Bryan Sheffield transitions to his new role as executive chairman.
“We are pleased to add a leader of David’s caliber to the Parsley team,” Gallagher said in a statement. “David brings a wealth of experience in large-scale unconventional resource development and has a proven track record of operational and technical excellence. We are confident that he will help our teams build on the positive momentum we've established towards operational execution and excellence.”
Dell’Osso’s appointment is effective Oct. 9. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration from Rice University.
