Cognitive interpretation software company GeoTeric and seismic interpretation software provider Eliis signed a three-year cooperation agreement to deliver a direct data link between their GeoTeric and PaleoScan software applications, which improve productivity in 3-D seismic interpretation of the subsurface and assist in geological modeling.
The use of GeoTeric and PaleoScan technologies have assisted E&P projects at all stages including prospect de-risking and production optimization, according to an Oct. 16 press release. The press release also said that the data linkage of GeoTeric and PaleoScan came as a direct response to requests from customers of both companies.
Under the terms of the agreement, Eliis will provide GeoTeric with access to its data API, which GeoTeric will use to produce the GeoTeric link.
GeoTeric will handle commercialization and ongoing maintenance of the data link, which is expected to be available either in late fourth-quarter 2016 or early first-quarter 2017, the press release said.
GeoTeric is part of U.K.-based ffA.
Eliis is based in France.
