Technip has clinched a ‘substantial’ contract to build and install the flowlines and risers for LLOG Exploration Offshore’s Delta House development in the US Gulf.

The French contractor said it received the contract for the development of the field, located in the Mississippi Canyon area. The contract covers the project management, engineering, fabrication, installation and pre-commissioning of more than 200 km of infield and export flowlines and risers.

The development is located in water depths ranging from approximately 100-2,000 m (360-6,500 ft).
Technip’s operating centre in Houston will perform the overall project management, while the infield flowlines and risers will be welded at the group’s spoolbase in Mobile, Alabama.

The offshore installation is expected to be performed in the second half of next year by vessels from Technip’s fleet: the Deep Blue will lay the deepwater infield lines while the G1200 construction vessel will install the export flowlines.

When Technip uses the term ‘substantial’ it means the contract is valued within a range from €100 to €250 million (US $137-$343 million).
