Wartsila has won an order to provide integrated solutions for a new dynamically positioned offshore accommodation unit under construction at Quidong Offshore Ltd in China. Wartsila will supply main power generation, propulsion, electric and automation systems for the new DP3 unit, which is due to enter service in January 2016. Wartsila will provide six 9-cylinder engines, six demountable thrusters, propulsion drives, medium and low voltage switchboards, integrated control and safety, power management and fire and gas systems.
