Following the split of Aker Solutions, subsurface consultancy Aker Geo will operate under the First Geo brand with immediate effect, according to a news release.
Aker Geo was formerly part of the international oil service group Aker Solutions ASA. In 2014, Aker Solutions ASA split into two companies listed at the Oslo Stock Exchange: Aker Solutions ASA and new oil services investment company Akastor ASA. As a result of the transfer to Akastor, Aker Geo has now been renamed First Geo, the release said.
