Geotrace, a leading reservoir services company that provides subsurface imaging solutions to the oil and gas industry worldwide, has established its presence in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), by opening a marketing office.


Geotrace's EAME (Europe, Africa and Middle East) Land Imaging Services operations will be managed out of Dubai and will initially handle marketing for Geotrace in the UAE and Gulf Region.


"In 2004, Geotrace established a Seismic Imaging Center in Cairo as a starting point for its operations in the Middle East and North Africa," said Michael Fleming, area manager for Geotrace who will be overseeing the Dubai office. "The center is now very successful and productive, handling data from all over North Africa and the Gulf region. Dubai just seemed like the next logical step for us with its strategic location, consistently strong economic outlook and excellent infrastructure."


Prior to heading up Geotrace in Dubai, Fleming was based in Cairo, where in the last three years he established Geotrace's Technologies Imaging Center.

"He is a top geoscientist who is acutely aware of the geology and reservoir challenges found in the region. His experience and insights make him ideal to lead the Dubai office."
