Knowledge Reservoir LLC (KR), a leading geoscience and engineering consulting company, and Fusion Petroleum Technologies Inc., a leading provider of integrated geophysical and geological technology and solutions, today announced the expansion of their global strategic alliance to provide a broad range of geoscience and upstream engineering consulting services throughout North Africa and the Middle East.

Both companies are presently preparing for major consulting projects in The Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya (Libya) and aim to create incremental value for their clients not only through the combination of technical expertise, but also by sharing office and laboratory facilities in Tripoli. Fusion provides its technology, services and software in Libya exclusively through Fusion Libya Petroleum Services (FLPS) and targets two specific sectors of the economy: provision of commercial technical services to the Libyan energy sector, including the Libya National Oil Company (NOC) and its foreign partner companies, and special technology development and training projects for Libyan governmental and academic institutions. The KR-Fusion alliance will provide clients in Libya with an integrated offering of geoscience and engineering technology, services, logistics, and facilities support for exploration and production projects.

The two companies also share an alliance partner in Kuwait’s largest oilfield service company. In 2007, both KR and Fusion announced separate strategic alliance agreements with The National Petroleum Services Company of Kuwait (NAPESCO). The KR-Fusion alliance brings NAPESCO clients an integrated array of leading geoscience and engineering technology, services and software across the Middle East region. Under the terms of the agreements, NAPESCO provides sales, marketing and local support of Fusion technology and KR services. Knowledge Reservoir supports its Middle East operations from a newly opened office in Muscat, Oman, which will further assist Fusion in its expansion of activities in the region.

Dr. Ivor R. Ellul, president of Knowledge Reservoir, said, “As Knowledge Reservoir continues its growth and widens its geographic footprint as a global provider of upstream consulting and resourcing services, we are excited to be able to further extend the scope of our regional capabilities with the geophysical technology, expertise and software offered through the natural development of our established alliance with Fusion.”

Added Dr. Alan R. Huffman, president and chief executive officer of Fusion, "Fusion has a long track record of working effectively with local and global alliance partners around the world. Our strengthened alliance with Knowledge Reservoir will provide clients in North Africa and the Middle East with an integrated offering of technology, services, logistics and facilities support that can tackle the most challenging exploration and production projects.”
