• Fugro has struck a US $65.7 million deal to buy remotely operated vehicle services supplier Rovtech Ltd., headquartered in Aberdeen. Rovtech specializes in the nspection, repair and maintenance and rig support sector.



  • Sercel, a subsidiary of CGG has acquired all the outstanding shares in Vibration Technologies Limited in a private transaction for a cash consideration. Based in Scotland, Vibtech, founded in 1996, has pioneered the use of advanced wireless technologies for seismic recording.



  • Geokinetics Inc. has completed the purchase of Grant Geophysical Inc. for $125 million cash, subject to certain post-closing adjustments. According to David A. Johnson, president and chief executive officer of Geokinetics, the latest acquisition increases the company’s nominal seismic crew count to 20 from only three a year ago.
