Users of geoSCOUT, an E&P decision support system from geoLOGIC systems ltd., will now be able to augment their mapping and analysis capabilities with point-and-click access to the most current, high-resolution satellite imagery of the Western Canadian

Sedimentary Basin (WCSB).

Iunctus Geomatics Corp. (eye-unc-tus) will serve SPOT High-Resolution Imagery covering the oil and gas high-activity areas of the WCSB (northeast British Columbia, all of Alberta and southern Saskatchewan) to Calgary-based geoLOGIC through its geoSCOUT software. The combination of high quality data and analysis tools and high-quality, current and spatially accurate imagery will be invaluable for oil and gas project planning and decision-making. By overlaying images with geospatial data, users will be able to identify existing infrastructure such as roads, buildings, other well sites, facilities and pipelines. The combination also presents opportunities for project planning such as pipeline corridors, site access evaluations, and environmental monitoring and assessments.

“We believe that satellite imaging is a powerful technology whose time has come,” said David A. Hood, President of geoLOGIC. “When we evaluated the SPOT High-Resolution Imagery from Iunctus, it was clear the comprehensive coverage and superior data currency represented a major improvement over other services that have previously been available to our customers.”

The SPOT High-Resolution Imagery is captured annually by the SPOT constellation of satellites (Satellites Pour l'Observation de la Terre or Earth-observing Satellites) and downloaded directly to the Iunctus ground station. After being collected, the images are orthorectified to ensure a high degree of spatial accuracy. The images are then tonally balanced and assembled into a seamless mosaic covering the WCSB -- approximately 460,000 sq miles (1.2 million sq km), the largest high-resolution imagery mosaic product in Canada.

Iunctus and geoLOGIC will be hosting an introductory breakfast presentation March 20, 2008, to unveil the new geoSCOUT SPOT imagery functionality for customers and other interested members of the oil and gas industry. For more information, visit www.geologic.com.
