Closing the gap between users, their applications and the data they rely on is the objective of any data management system. TGS-NOPEC has been providing customers an easy way to integrate well log data access directly into their exploration workflow by way of its SilverWire Web service module.
SilverWire's platform provides end-users with real-time access to pertinent data already integrated into their local applications. SilverWire Web service connects users to data in real-time publish/subscribe environments and provides interpreters with immediate access to mission-critical data without interrupting or delaying their workflow.
This is critical in today's exploration environment, where larger volumes of data are being transferred from one interpretive application to another. It continues to take end-users too much time to find the project data they need; much less the significant amount of time and effort expended integrating that data into the current interpretive project dataset. With a SilverWire-enabled application, an interpreter can directly access A2D Technologies' LOG-LINE Plus! data store of over 4 million well products.
Future versions of SilverWire will offer an expanded library of data products beyond well data access and integration. The Web service architecture provides application partners the flexibility to use either .NET or Java to communicate with SilverWire.
