Devon Energy Corp.’s Jeremy Humphers is stepping down from his role as senior vice president and chief accounting officer on March 8 after 20 years with the company, Devon announced Jan. 23.
John Sherrer will be promoted to vice president, accounting and controller and will be the company’s principal accounting officer following Humphers’ departure.
Sherrer most recently served as the leader of the company’s financial accounting group—a team he was a part of for 12 years. Prior to joining Devon, Sherrer spent six years as an auditor with tax and advisory provider KPMG.
