Andrea Hepp, deal lead at Shell, is today's featured Forty Under 40 honoree.
After earning a degree in chemical engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, Hepp kickstarted her global energy career with Shell in Calgary, Alberta.
Through constant innovation, Hepp has been a valuable asset in evolving Shell's businesses. One of her most recent passion projects has been helping cultivate the company's North American geothermal development in British Columbia.
"It was a very unique opportunity, as I was able to see the project through from origination, gathering and leading an agile team to define work scenarios and securing capital to leading negotiations and closing the deal," she said.
Hepp's experiences with Shell has afforded her the opportunity to live in several locations across the globe, including the Netherlands, where she was able to "broaden my skill set and perspectives, allowing me to work on global opportunities with diverse and talented individuals," she said.
"I always wanted to live abroad, experience different cultures and learn new languages," Hepp added.
As a lover of math and sciences, Hepp spends her time outside of work advocating for STEM education, as well as spending time with her two sons.
