Petroleum Geo-Services will make Crystal WATS MC3D data available ahead of the planned MMS Lease Sale 205 for the Central Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) area scheduled for October this year. This will allow companies to evaluate the exploration potential of the acreage on offer within the Crystal survey area.

Acquisition of the 410 OCS block survey is already more than 80% complete for the first tile and is ahead of schedule. Prestack depth migrated volumes will be available from June 2007 onwards for valuing the available blocks. Preliminary assessment of this wide azimuth data is confirming the anticipated benefits of this new technology to help unlock some of the puzzles related to subsalt, intrasalt and salt flank exploration environments.
