(BOP) fitted with subsea compact tandem booster bonnets and casing shear bonnets. After completing prototype evaluations and factory acceptance testing, the company is now shipping the first of four sets of its new model to a major drilling contractor for upgrades on existing subsea drilling equipment. The Model 6012 is currently available in an 18 3/4-in. bore size designed to meet demands for working pressures of 10,000 psi. The equipment is designed with hydraulically actuated mechanical locks (HAML) with the manufacturer’s proprietary compact tandem booster bonnets and blind shear rams in the upper cavity. The casing shear bonnet — in the lower cavity — are the industry’s first casing shear ram for this size and type of BOP.
