Compact and flexible, GustoMSC’s new Scylax drillship is primed to enter the mid- to deepwater market as a sophisticated, cost-efficient tool.
GustoMSC designed its new vessel around the drilling process. Scylax provides a single derrick or drilling mast setup with offline stand building, dual BOPs, up to 3,048-m (10,000-ft) water depth capability and ample capacity mud systems.
The vessel is intended to easily integrate drilling equipment packages of all major manufacturers. It also includes design features including:
- Maximized usable deck areas resulting from the integrated design and dedicated use;
- In-hull riser storage and in-hull mud and bulk systems; and
- Protected walkways.
