In a March 6 statement, Total announced that effective March 1, Mike Sangster was appointed the company’s senior vice president, investor relations. He succeeded Martin Deffontaines, who was appointed E&P senior vice president strategy, business development and R&D.
Before joining the investor relations team, Sangster was the managing director of Total E&P Australia since 2010. He held a variety of positions in E&P with Total since 1995, including president and general manager of Total’s upstream subsidiary in Thailand; vice president of economics, strategy and planning; vice president business development and strategy for Total E&P USA; and senior international negotiator.
