Norway’s Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has approved the plan for development and operation for the DEA-operated Dvalin development in the Norwegian Sea, the company said March 22 in a news release.
Plans for the $1.2 billion development include a four-well subsea template tied back to the Heidrun platform, where it will be processed before moving via the Polarled pipeline to the Nyhamna onshore gas terminal and onto the European market, DEA said.
“This approval is a major milestone for the Dvalin project, and we are committed to develop the project and start production in 2020,” Hans-Hermann Andreae, managing director for DEA Norge, said in the release. The plan was submitted in 2016.
